But the doctor is also required to complete an internship and to work in a hospital.
The internship is a one-year, part-time, paid-time-off program that provides the doctor with hands-on experience.
The intern will learn about a patient’s disease, conduct tests, perform diagnostic procedures, and help to coordinate healthcare care.
The employer must also pay for the doctor’s medical education and certification in addition to his or her regular salary.
