This is largely because we are seeing a resurgence in healthcare informatica, where doctors are using machine learning to improve care and increase the accuracy of clinical data.

AMA members can now add a healthcare información degree to their curriculum.
In 2019, members received the bachelor of medicine in information technology and information systems (ITIAS) degree from the University of Texas, Austin.
To make the degree, they would need to complete a certification course.
In 2020 the AMA will expand its healthcare informasion certification program to include healthcare informatura.
