There’s nothing quite like reading up on the latest medical research or looking up a hospital’s latest clinical data, but sometimes it’s just not possible to find everything you need online.
The UCF Health Information Systems and Analytics Lab (IISAL) has been working with the University of Central Florida (UCF) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop a way for users to find information that’s relevant to them.
IISALS is a public health database that offers comprehensive information for healthcare providers, researchers, healthcare organizations, and the general public.
It’s used by thousands of hospitals, universities, and researchers across the country.
It is currently available for download on the UCF’s website.
In an article for the UCN, IISAL researchers explain that a key part of the project is to get data from the UCU website into a system that can be easily accessed by users.
“The UCU Health Information System and Analytics Library (IISSAL) aims to provide the best, most comprehensive medical data from around the world in a simple, intuitive interface that anyone can use,” IISALS says in a press release.
UCF Health is also making available a web interface that users can use to quickly check data for themselves, and it will also offer additional features such as access to the UCI Health Data, a database of medical and academic information from the University.
For now, however, the web interface is a first step towards making IISSAL accessible to everyone.
