Business Insider Brazil’s nursing informatics company, Nurvia, has launched a new online consultation platform for its nursing home residents.
The platform will be available from February 25, 2019, in a bid to reduce the number of online consultations that residents face.
Nurvas website will offer two options for residents to access information, the company said in a statement.
One is a virtual consultation that asks residents for their concerns regarding their care, the other is a live interview with a nursing home nurse.
The first option allows residents to view the nursing home’s website and contact a nurse to get more information about their care.
The second option will provide residents with an opportunity to connect with a nurse via phone or chat.
Residents can also schedule a consultation via the app.

“We have an average of 50 to 100 cases a month, with some residents in our homes having up to 2,000 cases,” Nurva President Marisol Pereira said in the statement.
The company has recently received regulatory approval to open an office in the US.
